Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences

In 1988, the Ministry of Science granted permission to establish a bachelor's degree program in economics in the field of business economics for the first time, and students were admitted to this program. In parallel with the strengthening of human resources and increasing demand, and within the framework of the university's comprehensive and long-term program, the social sciences program was also established in 1992. Considering the establishment of new programs in economics and social sciences, the expansion of academic fields, the increase in faculty members, administrative and educational staff, and the promotion of scientific, educational, and research activities of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, in 1988, the departments of economics, social sciences, psychology, and accounting were separated from the Faculty of Literature and Humanities in the form of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences and were established in the new faculty building on the university's central campus, the construction of which was completed in 1985. Currently, each of these departments is accepting and training students at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. It should be noted that in the continuation of the faculty's activities, the department of political sciences was also granted permission at the bachelor's level in 1987.

This faculty operates in three levels: bachelor's, master's, and doctoral, with five educational departments: economics, social sciences, accounting, psychology, and political science.
